1.6 How do I Identify Resources?
eCommerce provides your company with a new distribution channel. Like any other new business component, you may need to hire additional resources to manage the channel. Your hiring needs will depend on the size of your company and the breadth and depth of services and products you will support on your e-commerce site. At a minimum you should expect to fill the following positions:
  1. Web Editor - A person responsible for ensuring that the information on the site is accurate and current. They create and update new pages, optimize the site's navigation, and verify that the site's graphic content/layout conform to the company's visual standards.
  1. Web Master - Is responsible for the technical workings of a site and the integration of your site with existing corporate computers.
  1. eBusiness Development Manger - Works with partners, business associates, online stores, and online portals to bring increased visibility to your company's products and web site.
  1. eBusiness Operations Manager - Works within the company or with third-party fulfillment agencies to make sure that online purchase transactions and customer support issues are being processed in a timely and efficient manner.
